A comprehensive inventory starts the systematic, interactive four-year maintenance cycle that keeps our collections attractive, relevant, and accessible. • Creating the first ever manual of Library collections. The collection manual is designed to be a practical guide for staff who select, maintain, and develop the library's collections. It outlines the principles, policies, and procedures that govern the purchase, maintenance, and withdrawal of collection resources. The manual provides additional clarity for the public regarding the selection and deselection of materials. We aim to have the latest and greatest popular items as well as perennial favourites, i.e. items that may not have high yearly circulation but nonetheless have enduring value to the community.
