15 The Friends of the Lethbridge Public Library has been busy over the past year. Our sources of revenue in 2018 continued to be from the Booktiques' sales, five book/other materials sales, and cash donations. Monies from the 2016 casino were held for distribution until this year, due to the renovations at the Main Branch of the Library. We would also like to recognize the dedicated service of our volunteers. Without this dedicated team, we would not be able to support the work of the Lethbridge Public Library. We thank those who meet weekly to receive, sort, and determine the processing of the many donated books; who work on our website; as well as others who generously give of their time and energy behind the scenes, ensuring the success of all Friends' activities. In 2018, volunteers donated over 2,685 hours at events such as The Word On The Street, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, and as representatives on the Lethbridge Public Library's 100 th Anniversary Committee. We were also able to provide over $73,000 for Library materials, equipment, and programming. Projects funded include: • Toy shelving in the Children's Toy Library • Puppet holders for permanent puppet storage • 500 sets of Read and Grow cards • Seven universal design accessibility desks for the Main Branch • Digital signage at the Main Branch • Public computer chairs at The Crossings Branch • Bins for transporting donated books between The Crossings and Main branches • Title sponsorship for The Word On The Street • Support for Lethbridge Presents Members of the 2018/19 Friends of the Lethbridge Public Library Board of Directors are: Isabelle Henderson, President; Margot Pollard, Past-President; June Tagg, Vice-President; Caryl Nelson-Fitzpatrick, Treasurer; Monica Ekvall, Secretary; and Donna Seyed Mahmoud, Joanne Overn, Vic Mensch, Directors-at- Large.
